Decker Automation

Decker Automation is the company run by Derek J. Decker, who is the fellow pictured at the left of this paragraph. It's a part-time venture, while I spend most of my time involved in the care and maintenance of my family.

Most of Decker Automation's business involves the design, implementation, maintenance, and hosting of websites for small to medium-sized businesses. End Users who come to sites of this kind are generally seeking an answer to some sort of question, and so I strive to produce a web site for each of my customers that:

• Has the answers the customer is seeking.
• Is arranged in a straightforward and logical manner, so that any particular answer is easy to find.
• Operates reliably and quickly.
• Is visually appealing and easy to read, and not annoying.
• Displays and operates correctly in the end user's browser, with his or her preferred settings.
• Is appropriately interactive.
• Reflects some aspect of the business the site represents, and has a 'sense of place'.

In the pursuit of these goals (call it "Websites That Work", if you like) I spend a lot of time studying the work and sites of people like:

On this site we have a number of things - the usual contact information, a small link farm, some possibly useful demonstrations of WebStuff, and some software tools that I'm maintaining. I use these things every day, as I find them useful - I hope you do too!
