NASA Reveals New Images

In celebration of the International Year of Astronomy 2009, NASA's Great Observatories — the Hubble Space Telescope, the Spitzer Space Telescope, and the Chandra X-ray Observatory — have collaborated to produce this unprecedented image of the central region of our Milky Way galaxy.

In addition, NASA released other images, captured by the 3 Great Observatories. Several of these mural-sized images are on display at Drake Planetarum. Stop by and see them in person at one of our Public Shows.

Saturday Lego Mania

Bring your friends and join us on Saturdays to construct unique Lego machines in our Lego Lab. You will build the wildest working contraptions imaginable. Drake Planetarium's hands-on science center has prepared special programs for Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Brownies, and Girl Scouts
