We offer "Hands-On Universe", three 4-week courses in Astronomy/Space Science for middle and high school students. Students will have access to hands-on instruction during this innovative interactive program. In addition, our Lego programs provide a stimulating, manipulative, and creative approach to the Physical and General sciences for kids in Grades 3 through 6. Our planetarium programs feature a section on the seasonal sky as well as complimenting the curriculum for each grade level. The program is interactive, keeping the students involved and interested. We have several programs that focus on different aspects of the science curriculum. The programs are listed by grade level and are aligned with the Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky Academic Content Standards.

During the school day, we offer a variety of programs for students, aged pre-school through high school. Our Lego Labs offer wonderful, creative approachs to mechanical engineering, architecture, and robotics. These combine science and math into a unique hands-on learning experience. You can review the programs by grade level.

Our Hands-On Universe and Lego Lab Home School programs are held at the Drake Science Center in the Fidelity Building at Sherman & Montgomery Roads. Parking is FREE in the on-site lot. Planetarium programs are held in Drake Planetarium, on the top floor of Norwood High School. Just enter the building through the front doors and our staff will take you up to the Planetarium.
