Drake Planetarium Summer Program

Is your camp or daycare program looking for an exciting, fun, and educational field trip? Then reserve your spot in our exciting summer program now!

Camp Enrichment Field Trip

Treat your campers to a morning or afternoon at Drake Science Center. Your organization can schedule a fieldtrip that lasts for one hour or two hours. Campers can build a variety of crazy contraptions at Lego Lab and or take a visit to space at Drake Planetarium.

In our Lego Lab, campers use basic science and design principles along with their imaginations to create working models.

MarsQuestIn the Planetarium, join Sam Snork, P.I. (Planetary Investigator) and his assistant Elmo in "Planet Patrol" as they try to find the source of disturbing radio emissions. Sam and Elmo explore each planet in our solar system from the frozen planet Pluto to the rock world of Mercury to the beauty of ringed Saturn. They cruise for clues, look for leads, and use the latest in crime-solving equipment to investigate the planets in our solar system and find out what makes the Earth so special.

Book now to reserve your group's space at this one of a kind fieldtrip destination.

Our activities are designed to accommodate all ages of campers from ages 5-14. Groups of 150 students can be accommodated per hour.

Dates: June 30-July 3, July 21-25, & August 4-8, 2008
