Water temp high 60's
Bass fishing is picking up. Fish have spawned and are starting the
post spawn feed.
Hybrids are good one day slow the next.
Catfish are starting to move to the banks for spawning, and noodling
will be starting soon, unless the water temps stay in the 60's.
Jesse reports the lake is at full pool, and steady.
Will try to do this report more often now that I am settled in sort
of in Alaska.

Report from Ranger Bob's Bait and Tackle
Report Updated April 11, 2008
Largemouth Bass Very Good on spinner baits and jigs fished along
flooded bushes. Good on points at the mouth of the creeks on jigs and
medium running crank baits. Very Good along bluff walls pumping spinner
baits along break lines.
Crappie Very Good on minnows and tubes up creeks
around flooded bushes near spawning areas in 4-8 feet of water. Very
good catches have been reported on Ltl Doodle Jigs and Pop Eyes.
Hybrid Poor a few fish being caught on rattle
traps and small crank baits on windblown rock points.
Catfish Excellent around rocks and stumps near
channel drops in 6-12 feet of water on night crawlers, crawfish, liver
and stink bait.
Spillway
Hybrid Excellent on rooster tails, flukes and
minnow type baits. Excellent on live bait..
Catfish Excellent on night crawlers and liver
The lake level is 560.88 (summer pool is 552.00 and
winter pool is 525.000)
The lake level has risen 1/2 inch the last 24 hours and is rising.The
gates at the tower are open 6 tenths on the bypass and 4 tenths on the
main gate.
